A Review Of Great Ears’ Multi-Symptom Solution As A Natural Ear Cleaner For Dogs

People who love their dogs do simple grooming regularly. Because of this, it’s sometimes not thought about how often and when to clean a dog’s ears as part of regular grooming and care. Even if your dog doesn’t get ear infections, keeping its ears clean is essential.

Most people take their dogs to a veterinarian because their ears hurt. When left untreated, ear infections in dogs and cats may become painful and inflamed, according to the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). The ear canals get more prominent, making it hard to clean them in the future.

It has been a long time since I’ve had a Cocker Spaniel. I’ve had to deal with many dog ear infections. My favorite way to keep their ear canals clean is with a dog ear cleaner made from plants. But no two dog ear cleaners are the same, and we’ve tried a lot over the years. To keep debris, bacteria, and yeast from building up in your dog’s ears, you should use a good dog ear cleaner.

It was time to put Great Pet’s Great Ears Multi-Symptom Dog Ear Cleaner to the test, so I put it to the test! Christine Aiello is one of my best friends who love dogs. I asked her if she would try Great Ears on her 2-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Holly Noel, to see if it worked. See how Holly did after using Great Ears to clean her dog’s ears.

What Are the Benefits of Using a Dog Ear Cleaner?

You can see the parts of a dog’s ears from outside to inside. The outer part of the ear canal funnels sounds down into the ear. As it gets deeper and nearer to the inner ear, the ear canal of dogs gets longer and narrower and bends.

You can picture how the vertical canal goes down and then makes a 45-degree turn to go horizontally toward the eardrum. It’s a dark, wet place in that vast, dark area. The way a dog’s ear is made makes it hard to see. Vets use an otoscope to look inside your dog’s ears. Now you know why.

Ear infections are more common in floppy-eared dogs like Cocker Spaniels, Beagles, and Basset Hounds than in pointy-eared dogs like Great Danes and Doberman Pinschers. Every dog’s ears need to be cleaned on a regular, veterinarian-recommended basis, no matter how big or small they are.

Dirty ears can lead to infected ears, which can start a cycle of ear infections that can be hard to treat and painful for your dog to get rid of. Dirty ears can cause infections in a dog’s ears.

  • Lack of use of a good dog ear cleaner
  • Lack of airflow in the canals (anatomic)
  • Issues with food
  • Ears of the swimmer
  • Intolerances to food
  • The side effects of medicines
  • Ear hair and a flap that obstructs airflow
  • Mites in the ears
  • Hematoma

Cysts or growths in the dog’s ear

Take a sniff inside your dog’s ear (and reward him for being a good boy). It’s not just that dogs have a lot of odors in their ears. Make sure your dog’s ears look good and there are no hidden problems before you start any dog ear-cleaning regimen. A good dog ear cleaning solution should clean, dry, acidify, and remove odors from your pet’s ear canal. Always be careful when you clean your dog’s ears.

Natural Dog Ear Cleaner: Putting Excellent Ears to the Test

It’s fun to show off features, but the real test comes when you try them out. Holly Noel is used to having her ears flushed because her mother does a lot of home grooming and maintenance. It was time to wash Holly’s ears, so her mom Christine gently put the bottle near her daughter’s outer ear canal and lightly squeezed some solution into it.

Christine gently rubbed the base of Holly’s outer ear to get the product to go down into her skin. After a few seconds, Holly shook her head as she should, and Christine used a cotton ball to clean her dog’s outside canals. Holly didn’t need a second treatment, but dogs with many build-ups might need another one.

Some pet parents use a cotton swab to apply the product to the inside of the dog’s ear flap. They then gently wipe the product there. Avoid going very far into a dog’s ear canal with a cotton swab, as this can cause damage and even burst the eardrum. It smelled good and cleaned Holly’s ears and flushed out a little dirt that she got while playing outside. Christine likes that it has a light scent. Christine did the same thing on the other ear and gave Holly one of her favorite dog treats.

Our Opinion on Great Ears
